Not only does the stunning South West Coast Path meander along our coastline, The English Riviera also holds the accolade for being a UNESCO Geopark. There are 140 Geoparks in the World and ours is the only seaside resort with this status.
With all this beauty and heritage on our doorstep, we are eager to share it with you. Our Walking Festival offers over 20 coastal walks led by experienced local guides, who will take you on fascinating journeys. The walk themes include literature, history, ghosts, plants, music and seafood, which cater for all levels of fitness. Choose from a short stroll around the grounds of Torre Abbey admiring its extensive floral collection, to full day tours along the South West Coast Path, with views which will literally take your breath away.
You’ll have plenty of time to connect with nature, explore Devon’s beautiful Bay and learn lots of interesting facts along the way. And once you’ve finished, you can reward yourself with a hearty meal, a sumptuous cream tea, or a local beverage at one of our many restaurants and bars.

Lots of photo opportunites, learnt all sorts of things I didn't know about Agatha Christie. Would recommend to anyone, even if you're not much of an Agatha Christie fan

levya5928/05/2023An Insight into The Queen of Crime I had a great tour around Torquay with Graham learning about Agatha Christie's life . Graham's delightful tour is informative and amusing and he got us to actively participate in the Tour which was good fun . I learnt a lot about Agatha's life and childhood around Torquay and defining episodes in her life that made her such an ingenious crime writer of her age .Unusual for a woman of her time.Graham brings the Queen of Crime to life whilst showing us the wonderful bay of Torquay , The Abbey Gardens and the Marina . I certainly want to return to Torquay soon , hopefully during The Agatha Christie Festival to enjoy this superb Victorian Sea-side resort better and bring along a good Agatha Christie book to read.Graham many Thanks for your inspirational tour. Thomas S16/05/2023A great walk - very recommended It was an excellent experience. First of all, Graham is a very pleasant host. He is a brilliant story teller and that is what this tour makes so special. It is not a dry enumeration of facts. It is much more an interesting view on Agatha Christie‘s life and her character by the stories that Graham tells. You don’t feel the time going by while you are walking with him. Beside his great knowledge of everything about and around Agatha Christie he has several good advices for your holidays in Torbay. Thank you Graham.
